Unifor ratifies three-year deal with HBPO

Unifor Local 444 has ratified a three-year deal for 100 members at the second of four plants that supply the Windsor Assembly Plant, HBPO.

The ratification vote was held Saturday afternoon and passed with 74 per cent of members in favour. The union called it "a well-deserved strong tentative agreement."

HBPO makes front-end components for Stellantis.

It's the second deal this week for the union. Members at ZF-TRW ratified an agreement with their employer on Monday.

Unifor Local 444 now sets its sights on talks with Avancez next and then Dakkota. The Dakkota talks could be more complicated, after the company lost its supply contract with Stellantis.

Members at all four plants voted 100 per cent in favour of strike action if necessary.
