A day after opening contract talks with HBPO, Unifor Local 444 said it had a tentative contract.
The ratification vote is set for Saturday at 12:30 at the Unifor Hall on Turner Road in Windsor.
It's the second deal this week for the union. Members at ZF-TRW ratified an agreement with their employer on Monday.
The contract at ZF-TRW set the pattern for bargaining at the four plants that supply parts to the Windsor Assembly Plant.
Unifor Local 444 sets its sights on talks with Avancez next and then Dakkota.
Negotiations with Dakkota may be more complicated since the company lost its contract to supply the Stellantis operation in Windsor to CPK.
"They will have a job," said Local 444 President Dave Cassidy on Wednesday, referring to the union's members at that plant. "I'm not sure with whom, but they will have a job."
Eventually, the union leadership will sit down with management at CPK as the picture at Dakkota emerges.
So far, the company hasn't revealed its new product, but legally, it's obligated to update the union.
Members at all four plants voted 100 per cent in favour of strike action to back their bargaining team.
