Another tentative deal is in place for the Greater Essex County District School Board and one of its bargaining groups.
The board announced Thursday morning that it had reached a tentative agreement with educational support staff represented by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) District 9.
The agreement covers 854 OSSTF District 9 members who work as early childhood educators, child and youth workers, educational assistants, developmental services workers, SWDHHs, and Tier 3 support staff.
Once approved, the agreement goes into effect through August 31, 2026. Terms have not been disclosed.
It's the third tentative deal reached in a week between the English-language public board and OSSTF District 9. Agreements are up for ratification with high school teachers and occasional high school teachers.
