LaSalle police have cited a Windsor man with an unnecessary need for speed.
An officer stopped a vehicle at around 7 a.m. Wednesday on Front Road near Marcel Lane, clocked at 101 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre-per-hour zone.
The 20-year-old driver was ticketed for stunt driving.
"The LaSalle Police Service, along with its counterparts at Windsor Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police, have regularly enforced stunt driving as it relates to speeding and published some of the charges they have laid, yet some are still not getting the message. Slow down," said LaSalle police Senior Constable Terry Seguin.
The driver's vehicle was towed from the scene and will be impounded for 30 days. His licence has also been suspended for 14 days.
