Two arrested in drug investigation

Windsor police seized over $10,000 in illegal drugs during a recent investigation.

On Monday, members of the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit arrested two people suspected of trafficking drugs.

After the arrests, officers searched a home on Askin Avenue and seized cocaine, crystal meth, oxycodone, Adderall, crack cocaine, buprenorphine, MDMA, and methadone. They also seized a prohibited knife, replica and BB guns, a digital scale and a large amount of Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old is facing multiple charges of possession for trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

A 30-year-old was also charged with possession for trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, and failure to comply with a release order.

The charges have not been proven in court.
