Caesars Windsor Cares commits random act of kindness at cancer centre

Thoughtful cards, gift cards, and tickets to upcoming shows all helped patients and volunteers feel supported at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre last week.

The cards are from Caesars Windsor Cares, which supports a diverse range of programming in the community.

Patients received a card and a gift certificate for either groceries or gas, greatly appreciated by those struggling financially as they undergo cancer treatment.

The centre's 45 volunteers received a card and tickets to an upcoming show at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor.

The generosity marked Random Acts of Kindness week, which is celebrated worldwide on February 17.

"It's heartwarming to see community partners like Caesars Windsor supporting patients, staff, and volunteers at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre during a week that is centred around kindness," said Houida Kassem, the foundation's executive director.

In all, Caesars Windsor Cares donated $15,000 worth of gifts.
