Suspicious activity leads LaSalle Police to prohibited driver

A Windsor man faces charges after a LaSalle Police officer got suspicious while watching a vehicle drive slowly behind stores early Wednesday morning.

It was 4:30 a.m., and the stores were all closed.

When the officer stopped the vehicle, he discovered the driver was prohibited from driving because of prior criminal offences, unpaid fines, and medical reasons.

The 37-year-old driver was also taking items from the store dumpsters.

The vehicle is in an impound lot for the next 45 days, and the driver is charged with driving while prohibited. The officer also gave him two summonses for driving while suspended.
