Suspect charged in south Windsor stabbing

Windsor police say one of the men allegedly involved in a double stabbing last week has been arrested.

It happened in a home on Byng Road near Calderwood in the early morning hours of February 6. Officers found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest.

Police then learned that another man had left the house just before officers arrived. This second man was found in the area of Walker Road and Melinda, also suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The two men, who knew each other, allegedly stabbed each other during an argument and were hospitalized with what were classified as life-threatening injuries.

Police announced Thursday that a 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The other person involved, a 25-year-old man, has not been formally charged but will face counts of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and breach of probation.
