New nurse practitioner led clinic opening in Kingsville

Residents in Kingsville have better access to primary health care with the opening of a new nurse practitioner led clinic.

The province provided the Essex County Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic with $425,000 in operational funding to support the expansion.

"We're looking to expand our services to full-time and to get the full gamut of care the Nurse Practitioner Led Clinics provide," said Executive Director Laura Levesque.

The clinic will be accepting around 1,200 new patients.

"This clinic and this expansion is going to be able to offer, not just our residents but neighbouring communities, a lesser commute to have access to those services," said Kingsville Mayor Dennis Rogers.

The Essex County Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic has locations in Windsor, Essex, and Amherstburg.

The new Kingsville clinic will be located in the TMC urgent care clinic on Main Street until building expansions are complete.
