UPDATE: Two charged following Kingsville investigation

The Ontario Provincial Police say two men have been arrested following a disturbance that closed Road 2 West in Kingsville overnight.

Police shut down that stretch of the road between Division Street North and Fox Lane shortly after 1:30 a.m. Friday. Members of the Essex County OPP, OPP West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, and West Region Response Team all responded and conducted an investigation.

The road reopened later Friday morning.

As a result of the investigation, two men are now facing multiple charges.

A 62-year-old from Kingsville is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, mischief, and careless use of a firearm, prohibited weapon, or ammunition.

A 63-year-old from Leamington is charged with obstructing and assaulting an officer, as well as assault with intent to resist arrest.

The charges have not been proven in court.
