Two COVID-19 outbreaks at Windsor Regional Hospital

Officials at Windsor Regional Hospital are keeping an eye on two outbreaks of COVID-19, one at the Met Campus and one at the Ouellette Campus.

Two patients tested positive for the virus on 3North at the Ouellette Campus, while the outbreak on 4North at the Met Campus continues.

Six patients tested positive at the Met Campus, but no one else tests positive, Windsor Regional will lift the status on Saturday.

The outbreak at the Ouellette Campus could be rescinded on Monday if no one else tests positive.

Windsor Regional Hospital rolled out its masking policy again on October 10 as COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus infections increased.

Hospital officials also urge residents to check with their primary care provider to ensure their vaccinations are up-to-date.
