LaSalle Fire Service crews were called late Saturday night to the blaze on Michigan Avenue near Boismier Avenue.
Few details have been released, but only one person was at home at the time. They were rushed to hospital.
The fire was reportedly started by cooking on a stovetop, with a damage estimate of around $150,000.
Crews remained on scene into the early morning hours of Sunday.
