Two injured in workplace accident

The Ontario Ministry of Labour has confirmed that it is looking into an incident that sent two workers to hospital.

Few details have been released, but it took place Monday at Amico Infrastructures Inc. in Oldcastle, though the Ministry reported the location as Windsor.

Two people suffered non-critical injuries when they were struck by a piece of equipment.

The company immediately notified the Ministry of Labour, and a spokesperson told WindsorNewsToday.ca that an inspector went to the scene. A requirement was issued to Amico.

"As the Ministry’s investigation is ongoing, we are not able to provide further information at this time," read a statement by the Ministry.
