Windsor Regional Hospital reported a COVID-19 outbreak on its 7th-floor medical unit at the Ouellette Campus.

To date, 10 patients on the unit have tested positive for the virus. Eight of those patients are symptomatic and two are asymptomatic.

The hospital has implemented a mandatory mask policy on the unit at this time. All clinicians will be wearing N95 respirators when providing care or interacting with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 patients on the unit.

Hospital officials are asking visitors to comply with all requests from staff to wear masks or any other protective equipment to reduce the risk of spread to other patients and staff.
