New plant manufacturing nutritional supplements opens in Windsor

A new manufacturing plant in Windsor is producing new chewable capsules.

SofTab Technologies partnered with Vitux Canada to produce the patented technology tabs for nutritional supplements.

"It's an advanced form of dosage delivery, more precise, faster absorbing and it tastes great," said Vancho Cirovski, president of SofTab Technologies.

The technology is not widely available in Canada. Cirovski said he and his partners worked hard to come to an agreement with the Norwegian-based company to bring it here.

"We finally settled on an agreement that allows us to contract manufacture for Vitux's customers globally and that took a while to build the plant. We received our licenses and GMP certifications, a very high standard of manufacturing for the dietary supplement market and this is why we celebrated," said Cirovski.

The plant currently employs around 15 people.

"We already have designs on growth and opportunity. We can add another machine at this current location but we would also like to look at options to manufacture out of the United States," said Cirovski.
