A summer tradition begins Friday night in Lakeshore, its Friday Night Summer Concert Series.
"We're delighted to provide our community members and visitors with yet another reason to come together and embrace the joys of summer," said Mayor Tracey Bailey.
Friday night's concert is the first of the season. The municipality invites music lovers to Leffler Park on Old Tecumseh Road. Between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., residents should bring a blanket or lawn chair as Olden Younge perform a mix of oldies and easy-listening tunes on piano and guitar.
Bring the kids to Stoney Point Community Park on July 21. Between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the town is hosting Beebo Music and Jangles the Clown.
The five-piece band Midlife Jazz plays in Lakeview Park on July 28 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The quintet is known for light jazz, pop, classic rock and blues.
Millen Centre will host the Dave Gatt Band on August 4. The acoustic duo hits the stage starting at 7 p.m.
Another acoustic duo, Twisted Sisters, plays in Lakeview Park on August 11 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On August 18, Kris Marentette is at the Comber Agricultural Pavillion for an evening of piano music.
The season ends on August 25 with rock trio Skin & Bones from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lakeview Park.
