Windsor police seek break-and-enter suspect

Investigators are looking for a suspect in a downtown Windsor break-and-enter.

Police responded to a call at around 10:30 p.m. Monday about a burglary at a Windsor Avenue apartment complex. It was determined that a man climbed onto a balcony and entered one of the units through an unlocked patio door.

The resident was awake at the time, which startled the intruder, who fled before the police arrived on the scene. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’ 8", and wearing all-black clothing.

Anyone with information or security camera footage to share should call the Windsor police Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
