Police say the man approached officers in Essex County on Sunday and explained he was lost and looking for assistance. The person did not have any identification on him. The man was taken to a safe place while officers put out a call to the public to try and identify him.
Late Monday evening, police confirmed the man's identity was verified.
OPP are thanking the public for their assistance.
