Freeland visits Windsor

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland is going back to Ottawa with many assignments after visiting Windsor Monday.

She met with businesses in the automotive field and their employees to discuss the challenges and advantages facing the industry.

Freeland said she was looking at opportunities to cement Windsor and Canada's place in the growing clean economy.

"2023 is going to be a decisive year in the building of that economy. It's a year of real opportunity for Canada, for Windsor, we need to seize that opportunity and we're determined to do that, we will do that," said Freeland.

She indicated a big focus of this year's budget will be on investing in the clean vehicle economy throughout Canada.

Freeland spent the day touring and talking with employees at Reko Automation in Lakeshore.
