UPDATE: Police arrest suspect following fatal hit and run

Windsor Police have charged a 66-year-old McGregor man after a woman was struck by a vehicle on Tecumseh Road East at Drouillard Road on Tuesday night.

Police said a 51-year-old woman has died in the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle around 6 p.m.

Ontario Provincial Police officers in Lakeshore located the suspect vehicle and arrested Richard Rocheleau.  Windsor Police charged him with leaving the scene of an accident.

Police shut down Tecumseh Road East between Drouillard Road and Alexis Street so investigators can complete their investigation.  It reopened around midnight.
