Windsor closes Bright Lights display until Boxing Day

The City of Windsor will keep Bright Lights displays in Jackson Park closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because of frigid temperatures and inclement weather.

The park was closed on Friday night as a severe winter storm blew through the region.

Park officials decided out of an abundance of caution for public safety after some fencing and displays blew over in the strong wind.

Access to the park and the displays should resume on Monday, December 26.

Bright Lights opened on December 2 and will run until January 8, 2023.
