The blaze broke out sometime before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of Virginia Park Avenue and North Service Road West. Crews arrived on-scene shortly afterward and were able to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported, though one person has been displaced as a result of the fire. The cause remains undetermined.
According to Chatham-Kent police, the victim was walking around King Street East in Chatham when she was approached by a woman she didn't know and struck in the face.
