UPDATE: Arrest made following investigation on Parent Ave

Windsor police say a man is in custody after an active investigation closed a section of Parent Avenue.

A section of Parent Avenue between Elliott Street and Erie Street East was closed around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday according to Windsor police's Twitter account.

Few details have been released, but police say a man was arrested about three hours after the incident began.

Investigators also say that this situation is not connected to a fatal shooting last week on Hanna Street East, or to an assault that took place this past weekend, in which a 19-year-old man is being sought.

Police remain on scene between Elliott East and Erie East, but the block has reopened to traffic and pedestrians.

More to come.
