Police investigating suspicious fire in east Windsor

The Windsor Police Service is investigating a car fire on the city's east side.

Around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to Venetian Avenue near McHugh Street for a vehicle fire. There were no physical injuries but the vehicle was heavily damaged.

Investigators determined the fire was suspicious.

They are asking anyone who may have witnessed something suspicious between 7 p.m. Monday to 2 a.m. Tuesday to contact them. Residents in the area of McHugh Street, Springhollow Street, and Venetian Avenue who have surveillance equipment are asked to check their footage for possible evidence.
