Campaign signs destroyed in targeted attacks

Ward 4 candidate Edy Haddad says over 100 of his election signs have been vandalized over the course of the campaign.

He said he originally brushed off the destruction as the action of kids, but when his car was broken into on October 4 and his campaign material was destroyed he felt targeted.

"I've been receiving some hateful messages that I've also shared with the police that were xenophobic and homophobic in nature and threatening," said Haddad.

He has filed a report with the Windsor Police Service to investigate the vandalism and online harassment.

Haddad encourages anyone who has information about the vandalism or online harassment to contact the Windsor Police.
