OPP seek person of interest in catalytic converter theft

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for a person of interest after a catalytic converter was reported stolen in Tecumseh.

Officers from the Tecumseh Detachment responded Monday afternoon to a complaint from a business on Roscon Industrial Drive in Oldcastle. The complainant told officers that a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked at the business sometime over the weekend.

A person was captured by a security camera on the property.

Police have released the images and have asked the public to take a look and see if they can recognize the person.

Anyone with information on the person's identity, or with additional details on this incident, is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
