Three charged as part of drug investigation

Three Toronto residents have been arrested and charged after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Unit.

Police say over the course of the investigation that was launched in February 2022, they identified a suspect, a vehicle, and residence as being involved in an illicit drug operation in the area.

On Monday, investigators stopped the suspect in the vehicle on Elm Avenue. Police report they found 37.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 46.3 grams of fentanyl in the vehicle. The illicit drugs seized have an estimated street value of over $22,000.

A home on Front Road in LaSalle was also searched as part of the investigation but nothing was found at that location.

Three people from Toronto are now facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The charges have not been proven in court.
