Man found dead in east Windsor

Windsor police are investigating after a man was found dead in the city's east end Tuesday morning.

The body was found near Drouillard Road and Reginald Street police say. A heavy police presence was seen in the area at around 9:40 a.m. for an active investigation. No other details were offered but police said there is no threat to public safety.

Several hours later Windsor police announced the body of a 55-year-old man was located in the area. The circumstances surrounding his death are still being investigated, and the scene remains blocked off as of 6 p.m. pending autopsy results.

The identity of the man has not been released.
