Summer festivals returning

After a two-year hiatus, the Essex Fun Fest and the LaSalle Strawberry Festival will return in the summer of 2022.

The Essex Fun Fest committee has met to start planning the festival for July 7-10.

"The committee's excited to announce that we have full intentions of hosting the Essex Fun Fest this summer," said Essex Fun Fest Committee Chairperson Joe Garon. "The town and area look forward to this event every summer and it's great that we can finally host it again."

Over the years, the festival has featured a midway, parade, and other local entertainment. The town has been hosting the festival since 1988.

The Town of LaSalle has also announced it will be hosting the Strawberry Festival from Thursday, June 9 to Sunday, June 12.  For the last two years, the town has provided virtual activities in lieu of the annual festival.

The Town of Tecumseh has also announced it will host a three-day celebration from July 2-4 to mark its 100th anniversary. This festival will be held in lieu of the Corn Festival that is traditionally held at the end of summer.
