Five facing drug trafficking charges

Five people are facing charges after the Windsor Police Service seized over $22,000 worth of illicit drugs from a Windsor home.

Officers began the investigation into the suspected trafficking of illicit drugs in September 2021.  They identified several adults and an involved residence as part of the the operation.

On Wednesday morning, officers from the Drugs and Guns Unit conducted a search of a home on Glengarry Avenue near Assumption Street.

Police arrested a 43-year-old Windsor man, a 40-year-old Windsor woman, a 25-year-old man from Mississauga , a 29-year-old man from Scarborough and a 29-year-old man from Brampton. All individuals were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking brown fentanyl, blue fentanyl, crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and oxycodone.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
