UPDATE: Fatal crash on Heritage Road in Kingsville

A motor vehicle collision has left one pedestrian dead.

OPP, along with Kingsville Fire Department and Essex-Windsor EMS arrived to the scene of the fatal motor vehicle collision in Kingsville on Heritage Road at 12:05 p.m.

The identified victim has been confirmed to be a 69-year-old woman from Kingsville and pronounced dead at the scene.

A member of the woman's family has identified her as Evelyn Greenwood.

They say Greenwood was gardening in her front yard when she was struck.

The driver of the vehicle has been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Heritage Road between Harold Cull Drive and Conservation Boulevard was closed for approximately five hours for officials to investigate.

This investigation is currently ongoing and updates will be provided once available.
