Canada Post resumes some pre-COVID-19 services

Canada Post is again delivering items door to door that require a signature.

During the pandemic, carriers left a delivery notice with the information where the addressee could pick packages up. However, this week, it resumed delivery at addresses with an outdoor entrance.

That is for proof of age deliveries, signature items, and customs owing packages.

Instead of signing for it, carriers will collect a verbal signature from customers.

The agency said carriers would be wearing a face mask and maintaining six feet distance from customers.

For those addresses that do not have an individual outdoor entrance, like apartment buildings, condominiums, and businesses with a shared entrance, carriers will continue to leave a notice of delivery.
