Leamington man charged with sexual assault

Charges have been laid after a Leamington woman woke up last week to a man inappropriately touching her.

Ontario Provincial Police say a man broke into the woman's house on July 17. He was chased out of the residence after the woman woke up.

Police identified a suspect and charged a 58-year-old Leamington man with break and enter and sexual assault.

He was arrested Wednesday and was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

The police are reminding people to ensure that their doors are locked whenever possible.
