Windsor kitchen fire causes $150K in damage

Firefighters tackled a fire at a home in west Windsor Wednesday afternoon.

Windsor Fire and Rescue said crews were called shortly before 1:30 p.m. to the home on Bruce Avenue near Shepherd Street West.

The area was closed to traffic while firefighters worked to contain the fire. It was declared out within one hour of the call.

There were no reports of injuries. It was determined that the fire began in the kitchen, but the actual cause was not disclosed.

The damage estimate was $150,000.
