Fight between brothers in LaSalle leads to injuries

A man is facing an assault charge after allegedly stabbing his brother during a family dispute in LaSalle.

Around 3 p.m. Friday, LaSalle police were called to a residence to assists paramedics in response to injuries from a knife.

Officers arrived on scene and discovered that a fight had taken place between two brothers. The situation escalated and one of the brothers allegedly used a knife against the other during the dispute.

According to police, both men are in their 30s and live at the same residence.

The victim sustained three knife wounds, one of the neck, bicep and hand. He was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The other brother was arrested without incident for aggravated assault and held for a bail hearing.
