No injuries reported following Kamloops St barbecue fire

A fire in Devonshire Heights was quickly handled by Windsor Fire crews Sunday.

Crews arrived at a residence on Kamloops Street near Calderwood Avenue around 2 p.m. The fire department said they were quickly able to get the blaze under control. However, firefighters continued to work on hot spots in the home's attic and insulation.

The fire was caused by a barbecue that was located too close to the home, according to the fire department. No one was injured, but officials said one person has been displaced.

The damage is estimated to cost around $100,000.
