The Ontario Provincial Police has arrested a suspect after a young girl was sexually assaulted in Lakeshore last Thursday.
Police released a composite sketch of the suspect last weekend and said a member of the public recognized the man.
They started their search after the young girl reported the assault in Belle River. She was riding her bike on Broadway Street when an elderly man approached her, struck up a conversation, and then kissed her against her will several times.
The child pushed the man away and immediately reported the incident to her parents.
The OPP announced the arrest on Tuesday night.
