Suspects sought in Windsor home invasion

Windsor police are asking the public for help in finding suspects in a weekend break-and-enter.

Police said it happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Partington Avenue near Tecumseh Road West. Police responded to a break-and-enter call at a residence identified by police as a group home.

Police said up to four people knocked on the back door of the home. Once someone opened the door, the group pushed its way inside.

The group proceeded to ransack the home, damage doors then leave with several items out the back door. There were no reports of injuries.

The Major Crimes branch has taken the lead in the investigation. Anyone who can provide information on this incident is asked to give Windsor police a call at (519) 255-6700. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
