WECHU reports 69th death in the community

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit is reporting the death of a 70-year-old woman due to COVID-19.

Her death is the 69th in the community related to the virus.

The woman passed away in the hospital after suffering from complications.

There were 11 new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday, four are linked to the agri-farm sector, and seven are in the community.

To date, there have been 1,840 cases of COVID-19 in the region, 1,230 people have recovered.

The health unit also reported it would start operating its oral health clinic again.

It has been shut down since the beginning of the pandemic, over 1,500 appointments had to be rescheduled.
