Bylaw enforcement officers resume regular service

Starting Monday, bylaw enforcement officers in the City of Windsor will resume enforcing bylaws unrelated to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the past two months, the officers have been enforcing only emergency orders like handing out tickets to non-essential businesses that open and gatherings of more than five people.

On Monday, they will resume enforcing property maintenance and littering bylaws, along with illegal dumping. That is in addition to social distancing rules.

Residents are asked not to approach the officers, unless it is necessary, and to maintain at least two metres distance from them at all times.
