Around 7 a.m., patrol officers were called to an apartment in the area of Tecumseh Road and Ouellette Avenue after a woman was found dead.
Investigators are calling the death suspicious after the forensic identification unit, major crime branch, and coroner attended the scene.
Two search warrants have been executed at two separate residences in relation to the death.
The matter remains under active investigation.
