Arrests made in shooting

Windsor police have arrested two suspects wanted in connection to a robbery and shooting.

On January 27, 2020, police launched an investigation after a man showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim's injuries were non-life threatening.

Police blocked off Ouellette Avenue and Pelissier Street between Ellis Street and Giles Boulevard for a short period that afternoon as part of the investigation.

Windsor police identified two suspects in the investigation. This week, police arrested Jason Harris, 37, and Alexander Caza, 23, and charged them with aggravated assault and robbery.

Police said when Caza was arrested, he was allegedly in possession of an illicit drug. He faces further charges of possession with the purpose of trafficking.

A gun was never recovered.
