Windsor man faces charges after drug bust

A 38-year-old man is has been charged after Windsor police turned up meth, cocaine and crack cocaine during a drug bust in the city.

The Windsor Police Service said the Drugs and Guns Unit obtained a search warrant for a home on Hyde Street near Mercer Street, which officers raided at around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.

With assistance from the Emergency Services Unit, officers entered the garage of the home and a man inside attempted to flee, however, he was ultimately arrested without incident.

During a search, police seized a quantity of suspected illicit drugs and Canadian currency.

As a result, Terrance McCandless, 38, of Windsor is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, failing to comply with an undertaking, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
