UPDATE: Firefighters battle blaze on Totten Street

An early morning house fire on Totten Street in Windsor caused substantial structural damage.

The fire was reported around 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

Fire Prevention Officer John Lee told BlackburnNews.com that the damage to the structure will prevent investigators from completing an on-scene investigation. He's estimating the fire caused around $300,000 in damage.

Hot spots are still being extinguished so Totten between Mark Avenue and Everts Avenue remains closed.

No one was home at the time of the blaze.
