The first female chaplain for the Windsor Police Service was sworn in this week.
Linda Presello took her oath to serve the police officers during the last board meeting at police headquarters. She is a Roman Catholic chaplain currently working for the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board.
"I'm the daughter of a policeman, my father is retired 31 years now, so it's a privilege, it really is a privilege to be here," said Presello.
Presello will be available to officers and staff during difficult times.
"Just to be a support, a support for the staff, support for the police, for the chaplaincy team and just to do what I can to be with their families in need," said Presello.
