House fire causes $50K in damage

Electrical failure in the attic is to blame for a mid-day house fire on Lillian Avenue.

The fire broke out shortly before 11 a.m. Monday morning on Lillian Avenue near Erie Street East. Windsor fire crews were able to get the fire under control within half an hour and put it out completely around 12:30 p.m.

Two people have been displaced as a result of the blaze however, no injuries are reported. According to Windsor Fire, damage is etimated at around $50,000.
