OPP charge Windsor man in Hwy. 3 crash in Essex

A 32-year-old Windsor man faces a long list of charges now after a crash on Hwy. 3 in Essex.

The Ontario Provincial Police shut down the highway between County Road 8 and Victoria Avenue for more than eight hours on June 21 after two vehicles collided head-on.

The noon-hour crash sent two people to the hospital. The driver suffered life-threatening injuries, while a passenger's injuries were less severe.

Stephen Brewster was arrested Thursday by the OPP's Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit.

He faces two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, three counts of driving while under suspension, failing to stop at the scene of an accident that caused bodily harm, possession of property obtained by crime, operating a vehicle without insurance, and using a plate not authorized for a motor vehicle.
