Drivers will have to take a different route to LaSalle this weekend because Front Road is expected to close for work on the Turkey Creek Bridge this weekend.
Front Road has been down to one lane each way over the bridge since May but will close entirely as of 7 p.m. Friday. It will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday.
In the meantime, there will be a detour.
LaSalle Transit 25 route will deviate from its regular route because of the closure. It will turn right onto Matchette Road from Reaume Road and then turn left onto Front Road. Bus stops on Matchette Road between Reaume and Morton Drive, and on Front Road from Morton to Reaume Road will be closed temporarily.
Once the bridge reopens Monday morning, it will be down to one lane in each direction until the project wraps up in October.
