Going to see Slayer? Expect traffic delays

If you are headed to the DTE Energy Music Theatre Sunday to see Slayer, there are some road projects on your way.

Crews are widening Sashabaw Road right now to five lanes from I-75 to just south of Clarkston Road in Independence Township, so 313 Presents is telling concert-goers to leave early and expect delays.

Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the project.

There are also other projects on I-75 including a stretch from Coolidge Highway to 13 Mile Road. The highway will also be under construction between South Boulevard and Baldwin Road, and between South Boulevard and Giddings Road. That includes resurfacing on the ramps at Chrysler Drive and M-24.

Slayer - "Leg Five: North America" is the band's final world tour with special guests Lamb of God, Amon Amarth, and Cannibal Corpse. The show gets underway at 6 p.m.

The parking lot at DTE Energy Music Theatre opens at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and the gates open at 4:30 p.m.
