A disguise did not help this break-in suspect in Windsor

Instead of concealing his identity, the disguise donned by a suspect actually led to an arrest in a break-in in Windsor.

Around 10 p.m. Monday night, officers were called to a business on Tecumseh Road East between Alexis Road and Chandler Road after someone smashed through the front door and stole merchandise.

About 15 minutes later, members of the Property Crime Unit were driving along Walker Road when they spotted a man on a bike, wearing a balaclava.

Thinking something was not right, they followed the cyclist behind a closed business nearby where the suspect was spotted peering in the window.

Officers moved in and arrested the suspect.

Searching through his backpack, they found the missing merchandise from the business on Tecumseh Road East.

David Calhoun, 52, faces two counts of break and enter.
